Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) is one of our most unique modalities for addressing a wide range of therapeutic needs. Through interactions with our horses, clients metaphorically discover and explore relationship patterns and issues in their lives. The equine-client relationship provides opportunities to develop skills of communication, responsibility, healthy relationships, and healing.
Our counselors and equine assisted specialists are all trained using the EAGALA model. This model is client-centered and solution focused. It involves a team of the mental health professional or counselor, equine specialist, and the horse. All equine therapy is done on the ground, there is no riding involved.
